CLA or conjugated linolenic acid is a fatty acid that in animal studies has been found to prevent cancers such as breast cancer and reduce the incidence or diabetes. Studies indicate it also ironically may help prevent humans from putting on weight as fat. It found in higher concentrations in the fat of ruminants that graze grass as opposed to those eating grains such as corn or factory by products that originate from grain.
